This is even a little trashy if you are skinny. Obese people should just not even wear thongs.

• When this one guy in his little Honda decided to start some road rage for no reason and swerve in front of a full U-Haul truck on the interstate and then slam on the breaks. IDIOT- if you get rear-ended by a U-Haul you could die, and your car will be half as long as it is supposed to be. You are not going to damage the U-Haul much with your Honda. And then you will get a ticket for causing the accident. (True story, my brother was driving said U-Haul and I was behind him in the car. The guy got lucky my brother knew how to use his breaks.)

• I know I touched on the subject in a recent blog, but people who talk ghetto online are super idiots. It takes more time and effort to type like that than it does to type ACTUAL English.

I first got Facebook in high school. At that time, it was still pretty new and it didn’t have any applications, fancy tabs on peoples’ pages, such varying privacy options, or fan pages. A few years later they overhauled the appearance and added a whole bunch of “stuff.” It was weird to get used to at first but eventually began to make some sense (although I do miss some of the simplicity of the old Facebook.)

1. Applications are taking over Facebook!

Some apps are fun, some are useful, and some are just really pointless and annoying. For instance, Farmville (and everything that followed, i.e. Farm Town, Fishville, Coffee ville, etc. etc….) I have not “caved” and joined Farmville and have no plans of doing so. Several of my friends have their pages filled entirely of Farmville crap. Sure, I’m assuming some people just play it when they are bored but jeez! Some take it way too seriously… like putting in their status “Pleeeeaaase send me a pink cow for my Farmville!” or, “Everyone please send nails and boards to my girlfriend, she needs to build a barn in Farmville.” Come on people. Then there are those stupid things like “see who’s stalking your profile!” and it somehow generates a list of the people who view your profile the most. Which, I believe, is technically against Facebook’s privacy policy, as it’s not supposed to ever show who has viewed your profile/who you view. Heck, I ended up on the top follower list of someone who’s profile I only looked at once. I’m pretty sure it’s spam. Same with those pictures where it lumps a bunch of other people’s profile pics and says “these are my Pisces friends.” or whatever.

2. Fan pages vs. Groups

I remember when people used to make Facebook groups. Groups were easily seen and accessible on the user’s profile. Now they are at the bottom of the “info” tab. Groups were sometimes pointless, sometimes useful, sometimes for those who shared common beliefs, and sometimes just a place for people who met at a common event/place to get together. For instance, I am in groups such as Dodge Neon Owners, We Work at Menards, I Love My Macbook, and Good Grammar is Hot.

Then came fan pages. Fan pages started out as profiles for musicians, actors, sports teams, companies, etc. It was so I could say I am a fan of Gary Allan, instead of becoming his “friend” on Facebook… because we all know I’m not one of Gary Allan’s actual friends (although I was standing four feet away from him at a concert once…. lol). Fan pages for celebrities and the like are supposed to be official, yet there has been a large and incredibly annoying influx of fan pages for random shit like: Summer, Dreaming, Getting a Text From Someone You Really Really Like, Not Throwing Up, Become a Fan to See the Sickest Facebook Status Ever, Become a Fan To Unlock the Pink Horse For Farmville, blah blah blah… you get the picture. Why can’t these stupid, pointless things stay as groups? After all I think the purpose of groups was to share a common interest.

3. Those idiots who are probably fake profiles who just post links to spam sites 584,384 million times on group/fan pages.

Seriously… anyone with half a brain is not going to click on your link. For one, we don’t like computer viruses, and two, we know your link to Free Viagra isn’t even close to being legitimate. Stop trying please, you are a dumbass. Haha, I actually saw one once where a person was trying to get people into that Nigerian banking scam. It said something like “I have a lot of money and I just need someone to help me transfer it. I will give you a large percentage of it. Please provide your bank account number and a credit report.” Yeah dude, it’s been in the news for several years already.

2. Sorry, but these diet ads are deceptive and I don’t know who they are trying to fool… I honestly hope no one actually has such a low IQ to believe that this is true…

5. Why do people dress like “thugs” or “ghetto” or whatever they call it? There is no purpose of pants if you have to use one of your hands to hold them up while you are walking. Your crotch is NOT below your knees. And wearing shirts that are 3 sizes too big just seems counterproductive.

I prefer to have the free use of both of my hands.

6. Acid wash jeans. One of those “WTF were they thinking?” moments. Maybe the creators were tripping on acid.

7. Scene kids: Trying to stand out by being exactly like each other.

9. Why do some people lack any and all driving skills? I’m not perfect I’m sure, but I learned how to color inside the lines at a young age and I know how to read a speed limit sign (also the unwritten rule of adding 5 mph to every ‘limit’)… and a lot of it is just common sense. (For instance- you can’t EVER make a sudden left turn from the right lane of a one-way street because sometimes someone just happens to be driving in the left lane… and almost t-boned your dumb ass.)

Just thought this was funny.

10. Sweatpants + Ugg boots = horrifying disaster.

11. The stupidest decision anyone can make: Smoking. Increasingly expensive, having to go outside in the cold, obsessively freaking out when you don’t have anymore cigarettes, having to fit those damn boxes in your purse, cancer, nasty breath and teeth, having no voice by the age of 40, smelling like an ashtray, having one hand always tied up… POINTLESS. (I’m very proud to say I have never smoked anything.)

12. Drinking soda is not going to decrease the obesity rate. (Sorry guys for the graphic image.) I don’t care if you’re drinking diet soda… maybe you haven’t heard, but aspartame (zero-calorie sugar additive) actually will make you FATTER.

13. What is the purpose of putting huge, shiny rims on your piece-of-shit ghetto car? (and tinting your windows of your ghetto car too…)

14. The Food Guide Pyramid. Ok, so the arrangement they used to have which showed the largest quantity at the bottom (being bread and grains of course, their first big mistake) at least made some sense in that it was arranged like a pyramid. (We won’t get into how horribly incorrect their guidelines were.) The “new” food pyramid (mypyramid.gov) makes even less sense. It shows a little guy walking up some stairs, and the higher the pyramid goes, the slimmer the sections are. The way it’s illustrated seems to show that the more active you are, the less food you should eat. Can someone please tell me why they didn’t just arrange it like a simple pie chart with a picture of an active little guy in the middle?

15. Not a rant or rave, just something I found one night that made me laugh. It’s cute, really.

16. Seriously, if you don’t believe in some form of birth control or contraception, you are going to have a lot of kids.

While the Duggars seem to be a decent family with many talents, 18 or however many kids they have now is just too many and they are going to run out of J names eventually.

17. The act of extreme drunkenness. Maybe it’s just me, but what is really soooo much fun about drinking so much you puke, pass out, forget your entire night, get raped, pee yourself, or end up in the ER getting your stomach pumped? I asked someone once why he was so excited about getting pass-out drunk and high that night and his response was “Because it’s fucking awesome!” Yeah… ok. I enjoy getting a little buzzed or just going to the bar to hang out with my friends. My goal is not to get so drunk I can’t function. My few really drunk experiences were not that enjoyable. Furthermore, driving drunk is just something I’m really against.

So attractive... not really.

18. Energy drinks. VERY DANGEROUS. They are loaded with caffeine and some herbal ingredients that can really mess you up if not taken in smaller doses. I don’t know why people think it’s safe to drink these to help them wake up or to help them play sports better. They cause your heart rate to increase. I admit I have had a few “bomb shots” of Red Bull mixed with alcohol but it’s not something I do on a regular basis. Alcohol is a depressant (slows your body’s functions down) while energy drinks are the opposite. The two together can actually be deadly and can mess with your heart.

We sell this where I work by the checkouts. One night I read the lovely "warning" label and there is (if I can remember correctly) about 4 times the caffiene as what's in a normal cup of coffee! It even said you should not drive or operate machinery when you first take it.

19. Why do people use drugs? It’s just really pointless and dangerous in my opinion. And expensive too. I’d rather keep my brain cells thank you.  Quote from this crazy girl I knew in 9th grade: “Hey wanna come into the bathroom with me and take this adderall pill? It makes your heart race super fast and feels really cool!” Yeah, you go do that. Have fun slowly killing yourself.

My spare time and money is a lot more valuable.

20. Sugar as a way to lose weight? What were they thinking?

This was probably from an old magazine ad. It says you should eat something sugary before a meal so that you feel full and eat less, and thus lose weight. What a bad idea!

What is wrong with having normal eyebrows?

Now I don’t necessarily mean all-natural, non-shaped or non-trimmed eyebrows. If I let my eyebrows grow in their natural state they would slightly resemble small caterpillars and I would have a few stray hairs between my eyebrows. However I do believe that I know how to shape my eyebrows to best benefit my face… not too thin, not too thick, slightly curved but not too high. Heck, I’m sure they’re not perfect and I’m no cosmetologist, and I also admit I have made some horrible mistakes when I was younger and still in the learning process of eyebrow plucking. (I remember the first time I plucked them was in 7th or 8th grade and I made them stop somewhere around the middle of my eyes. My mom was almost in tears that night. In 9th grade or somewhere around there I think I made them too thin.)

Well anyways… what is the deal with teeny-weeny eyebrows, extreme curved eyebrows, DRAWN-ON eyebrows, no eyebrows, bleached eyebrows, or random objects drawn on your face where your eyebrows should be? I found some photos online, and two are from people I know but I cropped out the rest of their faces.

I don't know if this is a Hispanic thing, but I have seen too many photos of Hispanic women with these thin, odd-colred drawn-on eyebrows (and some lovely dark lip liner to match...) vomit!!!

Some seem to think this looks attractive. That's their opinion. I personally think these are too thick for her face. Also, the drastic difference in the color of her eyebrows to her hair bothers me. Really thick eyebrows look masculine.

My own eyebrow issues of the past…

Me at age 12 and age 15. (excuse the horrible teeth, it was right before I got braces). Before I ever plucked and a time when I plucked a little too much.

And, now, some GOOD eyebrows…

Not to thick, not too thin, slight curve, look natural, made of real eyebrow hair.

Again, just not over-tweezed.
